The Truth About Shamans

Contrary to popular modern belief romanticized by western culture, a shaman is not a path of personal choice made by the ego or personal will. It is not glamorous. It is messy and raw and death is always on one’s shoulder informing one of how to proceed. A shaman has died many times over.

A shaman is chosen by a higher calling, made by the Spirit, chosen by the Spirit.

These ones are anointed by the Spirit at some point in their making, regardless of their original dream or personal desire.

The true ones are made of impeccability and have a near to no tether for going off course, yanked back immediately onto the path.

It is not a glamorous path nor is it easy. These ones have been buried, burnt, poisoned, only to have found the way to walk through hell and initiation after initiation into the truth of their making. Their life is not an easy one and in history, many of the tribal shamans died young. Although, this is changing now as the shamans are finding a new way too with greater ease for their physical vessels.

The shamans are often not seen and sometimes invisible and behind the scenes, even though it is a path of power combined with great love through service for the One and their community. These ones utilize their own body for transmuting heavy energy for beings that they have never met and for interfacing with heavy energies/forces/entities.

It is a great service and not a calling to wish for, but if called to it by the Spirit to bow humbly, for it is a great burden and blessing of love and honor.

I Deeply bow to all the shamans and sages whom I have never met and who walk behind me, whom allow me to breathe and live in this moment now., still protecting me as I serve. Some of whom died for the truth, in order that I may live free and well and continue this legacy.

I thank you.

These true shamans, they lie with wolves.

All My Love,
Isa Lara Marié
